Um homem interrompeu seu próprio julgamento ao subir na mesa e tentar prender o juiz distrital Neale Thomas. Daniel Hughes, de 37 anos, gritou que não reconhecia a autoridade do magistrado; ele foi contido pelos seguranças e derrubado no chão.

De acordo com o jornal The Mirror, o réu era acusado de agressão e aguardava sentença. Após o incidente contra o juiz, ele foi levado para uma cela e se recusou a voltar ao tribunal.

Ainda conforme a publicação, um oficial do conselho de Neath Port Talbot, Kyle Gasson, disse que, no momento de prender Hughes, o réu o atacou e o deixou com hematomas.

A respeito da primeira acusação, de agressão, Hughes foi considerado culpado. A condenação dele ocorrerá na próxima semana. Porém, o homem foi sentenciado a 28 dias de prisão por desacato ao tribunal.
